From a Sewing Machine
to a Silhouette
of Her Own

My love for fashion began in my mother's bedroom. She kept a sewing machine, and she had a way of dressing that turned getting ready into a ritual. I was the girl watching her, certain the right piece could change how a woman carried herself. As I grew older, I borrowed her clothes and reworked them until they felt like mine. That was the beginning, long before I had a name for it.

In 2013, I turned that love into a business, sourcing and styling thrift for women who wanted what no one else had. I learned how fabric falls, how one detail can lift an entire look, and what it truly takes to make a woman feel beautiful.

By 2020, I was ready to build my own. Nari became a Kenyan house, designed and produced in-house, in small batches I could stand behind completely. Nothing here is mass-made. Every piece is cut with intention, sewn close to home, and created to flatter a real woman's body — including the one motherhood gives you.

That part is personal. I built Nari because I was searching for it myself. After my children, my body changed, and I was tired of clothing that asked me to hide. I wanted pieces that celebrated the woman I had become, that felt indulgent against the skin and looked like they belonged in a magazine. I am a mother of three now, and the vision has never been clearer.
